  1. The bridge is called the Aerial Lift Bridge, not a draw bridge because the entire bridge lifts, rather than draw apart in the middle. There are only two functional lift bridges in the world today; the one you saw in Duluth, and one in Russia, as I understand it.

    This is the first time I've ever seen my little hometown on anyone's blog or really even on the internet... Hahaha! Kinda cool!
