FERRY TRIP TO PORT ANGELES, WA

Being in a foreign country requires prior planning. My prescription company won't mail my meds to Canada, so we had them shipped to Port Angeles, Wa and went to pick them up on Monday. The Ferry ride was interesting with 10' to 12' swells while crossing the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Still it was a nice day trip.

QUADRA ISLAND, BC

IT HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I UPDATED EVERYONE, SORRY I HAVE BEEN SO LAX AT KEEPING THIS SITE UP. AFTER THEODORE ROOSEVELT NP WE SPENT TIME IN SALT LAKE CITY, UT, WITH THE GRANDCHILDREN, THEN ON TO LOON LAKE, WA, TO VISIT WITH MY AUNT AND UNCLE.  WE THEN WENT NORTH TO NELSON, BC, TO INTRODUCE  VIRG TO MY CANADIAN RELATIVES.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ON QUADRA ISLAND IN BRITISH COLUMBIA JUST A SHORT FERRY RIDE FROM CAMPBELL RIVER, BC, ON VANCOUVER ISLAND VISITING VIRG'S #2 SON AND FAMILY (THE NEWEST GRANDSON, 2.5 YRS OLD).

THE FERRY RIDE FROM THE MAINLAND (HORSESHOE BAY) TO VANCOUVER ISLAND (NANAIMO) WAS RELAXING, BUT PRICEY.

THIS IS THE AREA VIRG'S SON CARVED OUT FOR US ON HIS PROPERTY. THE DRIVEWAY WAS A TIGHT FIT, BUT WE DROVE UP GOING FORWARD. I THEN DID SOME TOUGH BACKING UP PLUS AN UNHITCH AND RE-HITCH TO GET US POSITIONED AS YOU SEE US. WE ARE NOW SET FOR THE NEXT 2.5 MONTHS.

THE ROCK WALL MADE THE ENTRANCE VERY NARROW

THE WIRES OVERHEAD WERE A LITTLE LOW SO WE HAD TO HOLD THEM UP
